CONF 599: NEW REJECTION

.

Well, after several months the latest rejection from the publisher is in. Though they liked the character, the structure and felt the book had a lot of heart, it wasn't right for them at this time.

The good news is my agent is going to continue to look for opportunities for it, and, bearing in mind in today's climate, that has softened the blow. Still a blow, though.

On a happier note, have sold an extract of my new non-fiction book to a fab new website. They've now made it into the most brilliant eBook. They're really pleased with the content and I'm really pleased with the way they've presented it. It's going to be offered to all new subscribers as a free download. Whether that's for a limited period yet, I don't know, but will let you know when that happens.

Bye bye, thanks for visiting, come again soon.

So sorry to hear this; but I'm also really pleased that the feedback is good and she is behind you. I can't wait to see the eBook, bet it looks gorgeous. You're a talented writer and it is only a matter of time...

Sorry to hear about this - it's really such a nightmare economy to sell anything in at the moment. Things will improve - you just have to hang on for it.

But great news about the eBook - many congrats indeed!

It is a shame you had to wait so long for a decision. Never mind, onward and upwards. :-)

Well done on the eBook.

Thank you! Yes, times are tricky, the big surprise would be to sell anything to mainstream publishers at the moment... it's all changing so fast, good news for authors in many ways am sure...

Keep going - it's a temporary setback. These guys make mistakes.
