Writing a novel: starting the 2nd draft

This is where the wordcount incentive starts to break down. Finding so much to cut out can be depressing, it's a small leap of thought to feeling that every single word is no good, the idea is no good, why am I doing this? etc etc... You become blind to everything that made you start in the first place and only see what's wrong. This last week hasn't been good, but yesterday one new sentence cheered me up and I think I'm ready to move on to Chapter 7.

Thanks, Sarah. Yes, maybe the deleted one are as important as the ones that get to stay.
